Duke Nukem’s preparing for his Xbox Live Arcade debut as the latest version of classic-FPS Duke Nukem 3D has been completed, according to developer 3D Realms’s George Broussard. Broussard said the title has passed certification so we can all expect it to come out “soon”.

The XBLA version will support online co-op as well as a multiplayer deathmatch mode. Most interesting, perhaps, are the various Achievement objectives in the game. Check out some of them:

• Looks Like Cleanup on Aisle 4 (10pts) – step on feces, really. That’s a bargain.
• Shake It Baby (10pts) – tip an adult dance entertainer. Points do not recur.
• Oomph, Uugh, Where is it? (10pts) – uncover 70 secret in-game areas.

Duke Nukem 3D was originally released in 1994 for the PC.
